This brick-faced retail space was built on the edge of Moore Square, an urban green park, in downtown Raleigh in the 1940s. With two large windows on each side and a main entrance in the middle, the building originally housed a furniture store. The façade retains its original sign band in the middle with brick medallions on either side. Empire Properties redeveloped this property in 2002 under the historic properties tax credit program. Bida Manda restaurant currently occupies this space.
