As the Director of Marketing, Maria adds her special touch to all departments of Empire Eats and Empire Properties. She joined Empire in 2018 as the Catering Sales Manager for Empire Eats Catering and then transitioned to our corporate team as the Marketing Manager for Empire Events.
She also oversees Empire’s community giving, including managing donation and sponsorship requests she serves as the director of Empire’s charitable foundation, The Empire Gives Back, and organizes the company’s largest and legendary annual fundraiser, ‘Cuegrass Festival.
Maria graduated from NC State University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in Communication with a concentration in public relations. She was an NC State Cheerleader and the Recruitment Director for her sorority. It was during this time that her love for event planning, socialization and celebration began.
